View Full Version : Do You Think I'm SMILING .... ?
Is there a way to make it so that more smilies display on the standard reply page when someone is replying to a message on my vb board? The default number of smilies displayed seems to be 15. Can I make it display something like 20? I have seen FireFly's awesome hack for changing the order of smilies and stuff, but what I'm looking for is just a simple display more than 15 smilies on the regular reply page.
Also, for the 15 smilies currently displayed... what order are they displayed in? They don't seem to be alphabetical according to their name or their display symbol, so what order are they displayed in? Thanks for any help.

The smilies are ordered by the time they were added (smilieid), and you can set the number in the Admin CP ("Clickable Smilies Total").

Whoa... as always, it's simple when you have the answer (and a few coding, hacking & html degrees like the FireFly...are they paying you enough $$$ here?) :) :)
Soooooooo... where is the "Clickable Smilies Total" thing? I just did a templates search and came up smilie-less.... :cheeky:
Admin CP===> ________ (go to where...?)
THANKS again Chen (The man!)

Xube... the option is found in admin cp -> Smileys -> modify...
and at the bottom you'll see an option x amount of smileys per page... hope that helps =p

Thanks for the reply GForce :) but when I initially tried changing the value on the admin cp you reference (in the smilies modify area) all I found that it does is change the number of smilies displayed to me (the administrator) for editing the smilies in the CP... it doesn't change the smilies displayed to users when replying to messages.... (If I have to type the word "smilie" once more today I'm gonna flip.. )
:) Thanks all.
