I want to ban one proxy, from this proxy I get only one person and he acts like hell on my board.

I hear from several people that I can do it with .htaccess, but I do not know how and can find the exact info for this.

the proxy looks like this : d93e4a5F1.host.name.net

would be an .htaccess with the following lines enough to keep this proxy of my site and grand access for all others :

order allow,deny
allow from all
deny from .host.name.net

If this is right, must there be a .(dot) for host yes or no ?

Please help me on this.

order allow,deny
deny from host.name.net
allow from all

will ban users with any ending hostname "host.name.net"..

That is both d93e4a5F1.host.name.net, xxxx.host.name.net or yyyy.xxxx.host.name.net will be banned..

However I dont think banning users via .htaccess is a good idea. You may have only 1 user from that host at the moment but by banning him in .htaccess, you ban your prospective members too..

I were you, I would regard hacks like Hell-ban
