I've asked at several places over a week ago about how to do this, no reply from ANY of them. This is pissing me off because I know it's simple to do..

I have 2 info boxes on my forums. (My new forum design actually) And I want it so when a user is logged out or not registered that the "User Info" box is replaced with the login code, which makes the login box appear.

Edit: Sorry for sounding a bit harsh :paranoid:

Its not nice to demand hacks made...... but explain what you want in more detail... or try and find my stats hack... look in my profile.

Well this sounds a bit like the welcome hack (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?s=&threadid=33477) have you look at that? Oh and you asked and no one answered well sometimes people miss things and other times it's because they may think you havn't bothered to search the forum for your answer first. Still there was no need for the I'm sick of this READ this header.

Agree 100%. I won't even try to help the user if he acts like that.

A hack which you could easily port for this function exists. Search for a hack on full releases that changes usercp to register butotns as apropriate and vice versa.

I answered this on my forum, and it doesnt require ANY hacking. Just a simple template change Ive been doing since before welcome panel came out.

Well see now, all of my other topics got ignored, at least this (rude) topic got your attention now didn't it? I wasn't trying to piss anyone off, but chances are more people will look inside due to curosity. And thanks corey.

This is a well-known hack that won hack of the month for this month. Search for "welcome panel" and you will see it.

Perhaps some people aren't getting my request.. I don't want the welcome panel. Take a look at my forums, the left info box. I want that to disapear and be replaced with my login box when a user is logged out or unregistered.

Probably some sort of template hack then with multiple header templates with maybe an inclue to decide wheather the person is registered or not.

Use the $ logincode

Then use the forum home login template to display what you want for when they are logged out. (Keep normal for the login)

And use forumhoemlogout for what you want to display when they are logged in. Ala the box with their user info. Just be sure to include a link to logout in the user box.

This is what I have always done.
