hmmm does any 1 know why no 1 can upload there own avatar very time they try they get this error

yes you need to set the avatar options to "running under safe mode" but also select where you want the temp files to go. E.g. /tmp. But the folder most be CHMOD 777.

I have the same problem with attachments as well
