First I would like to say that I really appreciate these forums, v-bulletin and its people put it in a class by itself. Super product!

I was hoping someone could tell me what templates I would need to edit to include the tables in posts (like on the hacks forum here: http://www.vbulletin.org/hacks/index.php?s=&action=showhack&hackid=217 )

I would love to have those templates to modify for a Theology Study Board.

Thanks in advance,

Rick

Try editing the postbit template, that is the template that contains the post information as well as the look and feel of each post.

Really appreciate the reply and info SD, thank-you.

I found the template and was able to edit it just fine, but...(I hate that word! hehe) ...It looks as though I am over my head on this, it appears this has turned into more then editing a few templates.

I have the postbit template edited to divide the message area into 4 titled sections, but to fill in the various sections by the user will require something like this in each section:
$post[message] (Field name - OPEN IT)
$post[message2] (Field Name - EXPLORE IT)
$post[message3] (Field Name - TOPICS/QUESTIONS)
$post[message4] (Field Name - REFERENCES)

Could [message] be substituted with my Field name so the user can see the fields to fill in in the new thread and new reply?

Then I think I would have to edit the new thread and new reply templates to provide areas to fill in the fields specified in the postbit template?

I can edit templates ok, but I am lost when it comes to hacking scripts, ...any help anyone could provide would be very much appreciated. I don't expect anyone to just hand me the script, I am more then willing to poke around and learn as I go, with some guidance here and there.

FireFly can confirm this, but I don't think he is releasing the hack forum coding free to the public, it took a lot of work to make/do.

He may sell it if the price is right though ;)

Thanks SD, I wondered why there were so few responses here. I guess I should have know this was a pretty involved hack, it seemed as though it could have been simple, (only to the inexperienced though!) LOL.

Firefly, If your selling rights to use the hack, please contact me at your convenience with the details.

Thanks,
Rick

The template I use there is based on a template by Lesane:
