I need to either take away the delete rights of supermoderators or make the moderators not show up on the main page next to the forums under moderated by

1. disable for your usergroup (or user) the supermod option. this can be done in your admin panel.
2. edit your forumhome_forumbit_levelx_... templates
you should consider also post to vB.com, there is nothing related to hacking in your help request.
