AIM.. is that really necessary?

this is not related to hacking (unless someone will do a mod to delete all AIM related files) but i never understood why VB inserted the messenger code. I'm sure it would it be a hit if the devellopers would make VB's very own instant messenger :)

i'm curious what you think about it.

I am sure they dont really have the time or need to make their own IM, I am sure they could but why when most people have AIM, ICQ, or CRAPMSN.
