well, i think this is important for all new registered users here at vB.org. is been a while i'm home here in this community and i see it often how people are respected as much as they get also "pushed" by some Tyro Hackers.
i will post few guidelines who will help you understand better in what is based our community here:

first of all, the hacker who code takes his available time to make something for everyone, time that he(she) could use it doing something else... so other people can enjoy it on their boards. i see every day some "coolie" guy who think he's rambo posting this and that on the forums here... "da hax is nut dun yet?"..."why nobody answer?"..."why you dont fulfill my request rightaway?"...etc. do you really think that's a good way to deal with someone who is making you already a favor to post his work and share it with you? i doubt it.

WHAT YOU SHOULD DO IF YOU ARE NEW:
1. comply with vB.org regulations.
2. make sure you search the forums for an answer before you post.
3. post in the right forum your question.
4. do not hammer the boards with cross-posts just to get attention. your post will be deleted.
5. BE patient. you will get your answer.
6. BE normal. your "cool forumZ hax thang" is not welcome among hackers.
7. have respect for your colegues here.
8. if you have coding experience, try to help others also. do not be selfish.

i guarantee you that every hacker here will back me up on this. if you are not happy with hacker's way to give support, learn yourself PHP and MySQL or hire a programmer here on the forums for a fee. you will get a response in no time. all this sound harsh to you? i'm sorry, but is the truth... and the truth hurts sometimes.

if someone needs something for FREE, the only way to get it here is by being polite and patient. that's all i have to say.

i would like to hear other's oppinion on this. if you are a hacker here or you write hacks for vB.org, please let all people know what you think about it.

regards,
nakkid.

Tough I'm still relatively new here, I used to browse here before getting vB and I think these are very good guidelines. Just my opinion. :) Good job nakkid.

I completly agree with u, nakkid. well done.

my problem is not really what i want to write in a post.. the bigger problem is how to translate it in english, so everyone understands me :)

when i read ur guidelines, nakkid, i just asked me one question: what's the definition of "hacker"? means, who is a hacker?

a hacker is a person who have the knowledge to write(edit) a code segment related to vBulletin, in order to change a function, process, look of the original software (that will suit better other's needs).

however, this community is not separated. we are all toghether here to beneficiate from vB.org goodies. ;)
i remember my first day when i signed in. i didnt know nothing about php. vB.org teached me all, more exacly their people. i asked and learned at my own pace. if i did this, everyone can do it.

regards,
nakkid.

i do not associate the word "hacker" with any illegal activity.

Lesane told me about one that is really great, but i forgot the name. i'm sure he will answer to this post. ;)

Yooooooooooooo...
let me say this: the lockdown hack was NEVER made by any of the hackers here. and it will never be.

nakkid.

PS. those are my guidelines. they are not shared by everyone here.
