i'm trying to install the hide function also known as lockdown i think. on vbb. anyone tell me where to find this "hack" or give me some pointers would be greatly appreciated. thanks all

ps heres a description. it hides the text between so that only admins, the thread start, and anyone who replies can see the content..

What are you talking about??? I am running ikonboard at the moment - but I am considering BUYING A LICENSE for VBB to run it. I am not running ANY Version of VBB at the moment - so get off my back!

The Lockdown hack is not posted at the Members Area, let alone in this site. Answers your question?

Yep. Simple as that. I was just wondering because everyone that asks for a LOCKDOWN gets asked to enter the member area. So I was simply wondering if the hack could be found in that area. But obviously there is another reason for sending people to the members area.

Is it okay to install the hide/lockdown hack if I legally purchase a license for VBB?

First of all, it's illegal to use vBulletin for warez forums, just to let you know.
And you won't get any support for that hack here, and you won't find it here either.

How could is be illegal to run a Vbulletin for warez forum... Isn't the content of the forum, the owners responsibility and at his discretion?

This license is goverened by the laws of Great Britain.

Doesn't this mean that the license agreement does not concern users outside of Great Britain?

I am simply curious, so don't stomp on me for asking these questions...

but hold up, y cant u run it as a "warez" board... i mean we pay for it, its the money these fella'z want, we give em the money. my main questin is, whats the point of it being illegal to run a warez board with vBB?
