PREVENT SHOUTING (ALL CAPS) IN SUBJECT FIELD (FOR NON-ENGLISH BOARDS)

As you know, in vbulletin options, there is a nice "Stop 'Shouting' in titles" option. If you turn it on, the script will monitor ALL-CAPS message subjects and if it catches any, it be will converted to only first letters capitalized.

So this subject:
"VERY IMPORTANT READ THIS MESSAGE AND HELP ME"
will be converted to
"Very Important Read This Message And Help Me"

If your board is in English language only, you can skip this hack. But if you host your board in another language with non-english alphabetic letters, then this feature may not work as it should be with your language's special letters.

This hack will help you to have this feature with your non-english board. Applying this hack does not mess things up with English language so if you have both English and Non-English forums or messages you can still use it. This hack will monitor all subject fields both in English and in your second language and convert them to first letters capitalized form.

In fact, regardless of its case this hack will convert all subject fields to First Letter Capitalized Form Like This. So it will provide standartization in all subject fields and prevent for example all lowercaps subject fields too.

I use this hack with V.2.2.2. I havent installed it to other versions and if you wonder if it works with other versions too, here is the tip: Check STEP 2, if you can find the part you should replace there, then yes, it will work with your vbulletin version either. ;)

Hey there,

I made a minor update.

If you installed this hack before April 5 2002, you can download the updated hack and reapply the installation step 2.

If you install the hack after April 5 2002, then you already have the latest version.

Update is nothing important: just corrects a small bug which is harmless.

Regards,
