Split the user status title into two when a user enters a custom choice...?

I'd like a hack that will split the User Status Title into two variables if a user has entered something for a custom title. Why? I have 28 different UST's and I don't want those to be overwritten by custom titles, yet I can't use an additional User Profile Field as Custom Title field (anymore) because nobody is solving the problem there (see link in my signature), yet I don't want to remove the option for my users to change their custom title whenever they want. Eventually, it'll get insane if I have to do that for everyone myself, I can live with taking care of the glows but not for Normal titles.

So if anyone could please write the (probably tiny little) IF function that will split the user status title into TWO variables when a user enters a custom one, I'd be very very grateful! :)
And so will my 200-and-growing users ^_^

Not quite sure what you're asking for...Do you want something so that both the regular title (assigned by the board based on user group) AND a custom title appear for a user?

I believe he is asking for a hack that will allow users to show both, the admin specified title (ie: junior member, ect) and below that, the user specified custom title (ie: super man, ect) so that it appears as follows:

[Username]
Junior Member <---- Admin Specified Basic Title
Super Man <---- User Specified Custom Title

I wrote a hack just for that exact purpose last September. Originally, it was only a template mod, and when it evolved into a full-blown file editing hack, it never got moved to the appropriate forum, so it never got moved over here. Thanks, but, uhm... does this hack of yours mean that the users will enter their CUSTOM title in a User Profile Field? If so, then it's no good for me, see the link in my signature. :(
