hello. I want to make a news page for my vbulletin, kind of like on the main page of this site, but I can't use vbportal. What I want is a forum on my site called "News" that instead of linking to a forum, links to a news page, where me and my other admins can post news, and other members can post comments. I went to phpportals.com and they said I really can't use vbportal to do that. So I don't know what to do. I don't know of and php news scripts, or how to integrate them into vbulletin. thanks in advance.

I found some hacks on here for news things but they aren't what I want. What I want is basically, this:

1. I want it so people have to be logged in to post comments. If they are not I want it to display vbulletin's error page that it displays when somebody trys to post when they're not logged in.

2. I want it to automatically use their vbulletin username, and not let them type their own name.

3. I don't want it in a forum like PluhNews, which just pulls the news from the forum. If I was going to put it in a forum, I would just use a forum called "News". Look at Decktech.net to see how I want the News.

4. I want the people's names linked to their profiles.

5. I want it in a vbulletin page, with the vbulletin header and footer.

If there's something like that, that's what I want.

you know what you want... good. but do you know also the word "please'? trust me, nobody will help you with your attitude. learn to get respect from people.

the hackers here have their own private lives and wifes (some of them.. like me for example). do you really think they will get on it to fix some request from some guy who screams out what he wants? think again.

it happens for me to work on what you want. when you learn how to be humble and modest you will be looked by respected members of this community with helping eyes, not "phew" ones.

I was asking if something like that exists, or if I could find how to do it somewhere on these forums. I searched, but couldn't find anything. I wasn't asking for somebody to make something like this, because I don't have to have something like this. It would be nice, but if somebody has to go through the trouble of making this, then I can just use one of those news scripts the are already out and not have it integrated into vbulletin. And it sounded like I was just screaming out what I want because I had 30 seconds to type before I had to leave, so I didn't have time to think.
