I hope this is the right place for this, but I've recently noticed (last day or two) that the new posts aren't updated when I visit this site. I originally thought this was a cookie problem on my end, since I recently installed some internet-security software. But the new posts are being updated at various other boards.

So, I guess what I want to do is bring it to the attention to the staff at vbulletin and ask if they can fix it or if anyone has noticed it. If no one else has this problem, then it must be somewhere on my end.

The time of day is updated, and last visited, but not the new posts or updated threads. So when I click on 'view all new posts' it obviously has nothing in it's search.

The time now is 09:33 PM.
You last visited: 02-04-02 09:33 PM.
There have been 0 new posts and 0 updated threads since then.

New posts are updating fine for me. Just because it's not happening for you at other boards does not mean it's not a cookie problem. That's because the cookies for each site are stored separately and can become corrupted quite independent of each other.

Try clearing out all your cookies (or only the ones of vB.org) and login, then see if you get the problem again. :)

we should really have a reset cookies option like UBB does, it clears your cookies and then sets them again, though this would probably be a security problem is coded wrongly.

:D Thanks for the feedback, guys! I'm having problems with my home computer, and it's probably internal. I can see the new threads when I log in from work (here now). I will try the suggestions and see what I can do at home. :D

Again - great team!!!

The only real way to clear your cookies is to delete them manually - no web page can completely clear the cookies if they are corrupted.
