Uhhh, yeah. What he said.

Plus you can specify which templates each forum uses. So you could have forumdisplay1, forumdisplay2, etc. All configurable via HTML.

There's no need for one. Unless we're misunderstanding you which is quite possible.

so what shall i do ?

Use the search? http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/search.php
Or look here: http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?forumid=7 and here http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?forumid=10

You should find what you are looking for there.....

If you go into your control panel, down at the bottom there should be an option for "Edit Templates". There you will find all the templates for every possible screen. Look for the one called "forumdisplay" and edit the HTML to your liking.

If you want to create multiple styles per forum, so each forum has a different style, you would create a new template for each style that you want, calling it something different. Then in Forum Options you can specify which templates that forum should use. So if you created Template A for Forum 1, you would select Forum 1, and speciy Template A as the template for that forum.

There is no hack involved; the templates are a standard feature in this software.

When you create each forum there is a place to designate various templates for the display options in the form. Just create your templates and then assign them to your forums by choosing modify forum.

this is ridiculous, you make it sound so simple. try having 30+ individual forums and making seperate templates for all of them, if you only make the posting pages, forumdisplay and showthread pages different, thats 6 templates for each different forum. so you would have to create 180 different templates for 30 forums. not to mention that when you upgrade and theres a required change in the templates, you have to edit an obscene ammount of templates.

this is not the software for multiple style boards. I wouldn't recommend it to my worse enemy. I gave up on getting any help with this awhile ago, all you guys ever say is there is no need for this hack. all I have to say it try it, then tell me that.

Shoo, stay away.

I've tried implementing different styles for different forums using templates, but I found it gets into a horrible mess with included fragments e.g. posticonbits and the replacement for firstaltcolor/secondaltcolor.

There was a hack posted by Stallion about 2 months ago which allowed you to change colours for specific forums (which I'm currently trying to get working correctly).
