I want to have this kind of Avatar/rank system. Shouldn't be too hard, but I have no skillz whatsoever in php so I'm helpless.

It is sorta like SquareGamer forums when a new user registers they can choose an avatar, and they HAVE to choose an avatar before the registration is complete.

As for current members, they have to choose avatars before they can post or anything like that.

Anyways I want an avatar system with ranks and classes. Like say there is a Ninja class with various different types of ninjas. (like ninja, assasin or whatever)
Like unless they choose one, there will be a default gif for the ninja rank at 100 posts

Once they get to say 200 posts they get upgraded to a Ronin or something, and a new default avatar appears. There are various/different ronin picks, so the default one is displayed until they choose the other ronin pics.

Also once they get to ronin, or say 200 posts, they canNOT use pics from the old rank. LIke a ronin class can't use an avatar of a ninja.

sounds simple?
also after they choose class they want, they cannont get out of it (like switch from Ninja to army class or something)

can anyone do this?
if it is too hard, then i have some other ideas that are simpler.....
thanks in advance...
my forums is located at http://forums.emusanet.com

heh easy. a while ago i made it a requirement for poeple to register to the forum before they downloaded anything off my site......so i can track whos abusing bandwidth and downloading what....etc

but too many poeple had problems with it, so i just got rid of the system -D, plus my forums went down a lot so people come and go

Lesane, very simple man. Emusanet is a large gaming site. I remember when the forum first started up, it averaged about 5000 new members a day.
