will 2.2.1 hacks work with 2.2.2?

hi,
I have recently got vbulletin 2.2.1 & there is some hack that I would like to install but I was wondering once I install the hacks, & then upgrade my board to v2.2.2 (once it's out of RC) will the hack work properly after the upgrade?

Most of it is working. I just installed 2.2.2

Most of the small hacks will probably work on v2.2.2 as well. However I always think it's better to first install the hack on a private test board and then if all is well install it live.
That way you can also check and see if all hacks are working together like they should and not messing with each other (bad hacks! ;)).

There are some hacks that come with an installer Dolamite, but that only means you can see the code changes inside text areas instead of inside [code] tags.

I am sure automatic hack installer would have it's faults just like RPM's do with Linux. heheheeh

Even if the installer run the queries for you and create the new templates, you still need to edit the current templates and files... of course a very sophisticated installer can be created, that would edit the templates and files as well, but I'm sure you want the hackers to focus on creating good hacks, not installers. :)
