* FireFly is gonna write a doc about all the admin functions sooner or later :)

makehiddencode() is for creating a hidden input field in a form (when you are using the Admin CP).
For example, this:
makehiddencode("adminid","1");
would give you this:
<input type="hidden" name="adminid" value="1">

What exactly are the hidden fields used for?

Let me explain why I ask. I have a form in the admin cp that asks for input. When you hit submit it goes to the "Verify" page which shows you your results and then when you hit submit again, it does the database changes.

Now, before I put the makehiddencode in the "verify" section, it would never see the variables after the second submit so the database changes would always fail. I used makehiddencode and now it works fine. Not sure why though.

Thanks,

Hidden fields are used to "keep" information and pass it on to next pages... just like you had to do.

Let's take the profile editor in the Admin CP for example. So you clicked a link, and it had $userid in it, right? But we must use that $userid again in the form so it will be carried to the next page (otherwise the system won't know which user to update).
