View Full Version : Ah CRAP! Lost the ability after posting to have the page scroll on to the post?

I just recently installed the contract posts hack, which IS working. Does anybody know if this hack takes it out so that after you reply to a long thread, it doesn't automatically show you back at your post? Right now it puts you back up at the top of the page.
I also have the hack that numbers your post so that you can have a better idea on where you are in the thread. I am thinking that this is the hack that did it, just because the post # blah text asts also as a link to the post. SO that you can copy that link and when somebody follows that link it then takes them straight to that exact post.
Can somebody please help me with this. I don't want to reverse both these hacks and trace my steps if at all possible.
I would greatly appreciate some help on this problem.
Many thanks!!!
:(

sounds like it might fix it. Where do I find the < div>< /div> tags he is talking about? Since the instructions are in the script I don't have anything to go to and look at where the div tags are. Can you help?
Thanks in advance.

Thanks in advance. She is talking about the div tags in the postbit. There is an upper div section you see when the message is contracted and a lower div section (which is pretty much the old postbit) you see when the message is expanded. You need to put that piece of code in the upper div section. She describes the div sections in a message on the first couple of pages of the thread.

 yeah um, I still don't know where to put it. I see the upper div tags, but I still don't know WHERE to put the this line of code: <a name="post$post[postid]"></a>
Does anybody know? :(
This is where I have it:<td bgcolor="$post[backcolor]" width="175" valign="top" nowrap><a name="post$post[postid]"></a>$plusimg

Nope that still doesn't work either way. Wether I have it set to contract them or keep the normal, it still doesn't work.
