Me and the computerguy just got www.allforums.net setup. We are using a dark color scheme right now..
I know it needs a new logo but its better than the "instant community" one. If anyone with graphics experience could help with a nice logo that would be great.
Any comments would be appreciated :)

Hey, try these guys for your logo, I just recieved my two logos the other day. Not bad, but I'm just to dam picky and ended up spending a whole night working on my own. I guess it's a real gamble since you don't get to have the logo designed for your site, but what else would you expect for a few bucks.

I've attached one of the better ones I was sent. Here is the one I ended up with on my own. http://www.action-network.com/themes/Tech/images/logo.png
Comments on the board: Well for some reason I have grown weary of black background and dark forums/websites. I think the contrast is just unnecessary between black background and white text. Also with your colors, your alternating forum colors should be closer in value. Where you have dark blue with black, should change the black to a lighter shade of that dark blue.
Thanks for the advice, We're now working on a new color scheme...
We've made some more modifications, still uncomplete, we have a new logo and all pages have a grey border, the forum seems to be "rounded off" on the end.. I think it's neat.. Comments???

JWB, it's starting to look good! ^__^
However, I don't like the grey background. Maybe if it was a little bit thinner and darker... ;)
LOL :( thats what ive been working on a while now... I like the grey (well did) Maybe I coule pick a different color... Perhaps a darker grey?? or another shade of blue..... I plan on fixing the rest of the templates (like the register) to have the main black background with the outer color trim, but it depends on how all my users, etc like it..... Thanks for the compliment/ and advice.

I actually find the grey to bit of a break from black....but the nice little corners are a plus, just my biased opinion :)
:supwink:
Personally I like the grey, probably because I picked it out: I want a noticable change from the main color and the border, but I may pick another color... Until I find something better I will keep this.

.....
nice :)
at least they could send you psd files
adjustments made - plus 9 bucks :surprised
Well it's not a bad price, I don't really like the edit policy, but they have some very professional logos on their main page (of course they wouldn't put their bad ones)... I made my own with a neat font and some photoshop modifications..I've thought about buying a design and logo but it's just not the same if you let someone else do the work for you, I like it being mine! :)
