Hello,

I would like to include all the forum statistics like those on the Forums homepage of vbulletin.org

I believe this is a template modification rather than a hack - has anyone got any pointers where I might find more information on this?

All the best,

Kind Regards,

Ross Williams

Firefly has queries at the top of index.php which pull the statistics from the database, tell me what statistics you want and i'll give you the queries you will need for them.

It also involves a template modification.

Cheers for that PM.

My idea is very similar to the stats on vbulletin.org, but without hacks, obviously. I'm particularly keen to give more membership info.

I would like to give :

Total Registered Members : xxxx
Latest Members : xxxx (list latest 10 members, linked to profile) more... (linked to new page listing all members in reverse join order)
Top 10 Posters : xxxx (link to profile)
Total Threads: xx | Total Posts: xx | Total Page Views: xx | Total Photos: xxx (taken from photopost database)

Just wondering if anyone had any ideas as to the above?

As i don't have a copy of photopost I am unfamilar of how the data is stored in the mysql table.

anyway here is the file it gets the things you want and you can modify the template how ever you please.

HI PPN,

That worked perfectly.

I've set it up at http://www.servicepals.com/forums/index.php and it integrates perfectly. Very pleased!! :D

Thanks so much for your hard work - hope it benefits others as well,

All the best,

Ross

This hack was just for rawnet, well it wasn't really a hack, I was just helping him.

I just searched, and I didn't see that anyone has actually released this yet, so I'll go document it. I had it on my forums that were up, but never thought about documenting it. However, PPN, if you have any objections to this I'll discontinue working on it.

Documented and ready to go, not to hard to install. Actually, extremely easy. Barely qualifies as a hack, seeing most of the work is done with templates. But you have to add a bit of php to get the total views.
