Awhile back when i was getting hosted by realwebhost.net the admin over their wrote a rather nice hack/feature that took the uploading feature off the hands of the mysql server, and made it so that the file being uploaded would be placed in a folder somewhere you specify (IE /attachments/) Anyways, the file being attached would have a counter right next to it to specify the number of times it got downloaded. And also was removed when the thread got deleted.

The main purpose of this hack came about, because I needed the uploading feature to be able to carry more larger (5-15 megs) uploads.

Well needless to say I got kicked from them not being able to house my site because of the popularity and bandwidth my site was loading onto their servers, and as such, I lost his help with this. And I was just curious if anyone could activelly pursue this??

Just to specify My site: teamwod.net is a gaming clan site that plays Tribes2. Inside the game you can make recordings of yourself and the game taking place, exactlly like a VCR. Well to get strategys for the game across to other players, its nice to make a recording, upload it to our forums, and have another member take a look at it. And what an easier way to do it then on our fourms. This way all our guys can do the same with findings of their own.

Does anyone think they could do something like this?? Would it be possible?? Thanks in advance for anyones help on the matter.

-Vic :)
