vbPortal 3.0 beta1 pr7.1 has been made pubically available for the vBulletin community at http://www.phpportals.com.
Because of the size of the file and extent of the support required, the download and support will continue to be at phpPortals website.

This is probably a question that has been answered at some point or another, but since this is beta I felt I needed to ask:
How easy is it to upgrade vBPortal to the next version? I am a contributing member on your forums (under another SN) and have just downloaded the above mentioned 3.0beta and I was just wondering how easy it was to upgrade.
Thanks for you help,
I am going to install it with my board; see how it goes.

This version will be able to upgrade as my understanding is correct.
But let me ask why upgrade something you work so hard at perfecting...
Bane uses 2.01 version of it at www.talkloud.net

Upgrading will be easy, The vbPortal core is bacically finished, upgrades will be modular, because of all the addons and hacks.
I have no idea at this point as far as vBulletin 3.0 and how big of an upgrade for vbPortal that will be, I do know there will be big changes in the calendar and that will affect the frontpage small calendar. Hopefully we will be able to get some help to figure that out.
wajones: support only available to paying members of vbportals???

phpPortal Memebrships are not transferable, plus vbPortal is a free download, so there's nothing to sell. This link needs to be removed, how many people is he going to attempt selling it to.

Installed on a fresh install of vBulletin 2.3.0 Release Candidate 3 without a hitch. Everything seems to be in great working order. My thanx to the hard work at phpportals.com. Good job guys. :)
