cause if you ain't a vBulletin customer why would you need hacks for vBulletin?

You don't own the software so why do you need modifications to it.

It's as simple as that.

Pirated= stolen software. They get it from a warez site and don't pay for it.

I am not sure about this so I can not say for sure, but does'nt vBulletin have a call home feature now? I mean something that will call back to the user db and alert JS if someone is using a pirated board?

I had seen a good sized post at the official support forums about this but can not find it anymore (I guess it was deleted). I was just wondering if anyone knew if this was true or not, I never really got a repsponce.

(I paid for my license so it is not me I am talking about, I would just like to know if this has be implemented by JS to crack down harder on warez distributors).

there's "spyfixed" software floating around everywhere though. Anyone can remove those, but it gets the majority of the Skr1pt h4><0rs.

runar5: As has been said already, you need to be a vBulletin owner to download hacks as there is absolutely no valid reason to use hacks without a copy of vBulletin.
