View Full Version : Help! I don't know what I'm being asked for...
 Ok, this site has been set up to only allow access to limited areas by certain people. When I click on the ad my name to this area..I enter my screenname XUBE and my current password ..but it says Incorrect password. Is my password something else for these purposes?? Like my vBulletin auth code or something?? I'm lost here. :(
...PS: if the "password" required here IS something other than the passwd that we sign onto this board with, could someone make that clearer on the form requesting this information so that others won't have to deal with this somewhat confusing thingy? Thanks. :)

All you should need to do is add your username here:
http://www.vbulletin.com/members/vbulletin.org.php
You'll need your customer number and password to access the page.

Also, since you specified that you get a "incorrect password" message.... Forgotten your password? Click here (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/member.php?s=&action=lostpw). Now, if you follow that info, you can change your password to one that you want :)

It's two separate usernames and passwords.
The one you need is actually your vb member number and the password associated with that - the same one you use when you download vbulletin from the member area. It's not the info you use to log in to post.

Just thought of something else:
Wasn't there some way over on the regular vB board that we had to enter our customer number into our profiles before we could be validated? I'm not sure if this board at the link you gave me has a way of automatically detecting if we have added our customer number to our profiles and maybe that is the reason the system is rejecting me and kicking me to the curb like a lost dog?? :D
Anyways <grin> from what I recall, there was some field or something that we entered the custo. num in back on the original vB board where only the moderators etc could see this info? I don't see a field here (in my profile edit info) that looks secure to enter this info. Please advise.

It must have worked because you're not showing up as 'Unlicensed' anymore. :)

Yeah I also remember you, you're the guy that posts good questions (really!) and come up with funny thread titles. :)
