Hello everyone, Please excuse my newbieness question, I have recently updated to 2.2.1, Unfortunately since i am a rookie, Instead of just updating it i wipe the whole database and reinstalled it with the install.php script, I do have a backup of the 2.0.3 but i have not had any luck trying to restore it to 2.2.1. My host does not give me access to TELNET so i cannot do it that way, I downloaded a hack that has the import.php but it seem to me thats only for other databases UBB and does not say anything about previous VB versions. I have been down all day and need major help, I am willing to pay someone for their assistance unless you want to help me with out charge :) . I am very new at this but have familiar with MySQL a little, I run phpMyAdmin. Is there such a script that can allow me to easily import my vbulletin.sql backup file which is in my personal computer to my DB with 2.2.1?? Thanks in advance for your help. :stupid:

Thinking out loud here, but here's what I would try.
Drop the 2.2.1 database.
Create a new database, and import the backup to it using phpmyadmin.
Then, run the proper upgrade scripts.
Hell, if it doesn't work, you still have your backup. :D

Does your phpmyadmin have the ability to browse to a text file on your hard drive?
I've done it that way before. However, not all web hosts offer the version that does this.

p.s. I think you want to say "Please Bear With Us" in your closed message. ;)
