What?s with all the guests?

We have the ?users active in the last 24 hours? mod installed.

Users active in the past 24 hours: 1319 (94 members and 1225 guests)

There?s an insane amount of guests and most of them are showing up as bots.

Does anyone know why this is, and what I can do to reduce this?

Just bots crawling your forum for (new) content. If you lookup the IP addresses of the bots, you can probably figure out what company they belong to in order to find out how to stop the crawler from searching your forum.

A majority of them are “ 114-119-163-138.aspiegelbot”.

Is there a way to block them out completely. Or, is there an add on to help reduce these?

Yes, create a .htaccess file in the root of your forum.

Most likely a whole bunch of spiders and crawl bots.
