I am trying to work on it, but I'm still at the beginning because I just switched to vbulletin and I am thinking about the best way to do it.

well i it did finally by exporting the threads and user file as csv files from discuss, then importing them into ms excel, sorting and adding the missing colums needed for vbulletin and then saving it again as a new csv file and then uploading it with phpmyadmin to the vbulletin databank. it took me approx. 1 week for 6000 posts with approx. 200 users.
I never want to have to do that again though ;)

Ok, I've been able to import discus into vbulletin.
I have used three scripts I wrote, one for the users, one for the topics and one for the posts. It worked fine, there were just some minor glitches (like some anonymous posts and so on). It required one day of work to write the scripts and to import into vbulletin.
Oh well ... fantastic!
Are you willing to share your scripts with us?

I really don't want to suject my friends to registering again, and to have a blank forums again.
Importer would be very cool, I can than kill Discus from my server and have a nice clean system.

(My Bonny is over the ocean. My Bonny is over the sea. My Bonny is over the ocean ... oh bring back my Bonny to me. I'm afraid, someone has to inform the authorities. Must have been happended something ... an accident or something like that. Or ... it's a very very very long way home.)

God, how stupid am I? I never posted those scripts :|
Let me see if I am able to find them on our server because I surely don't have them on my local pc anymore :)

Ok now I need your help. I don't have discus anymore on our server. I need someone to send me exported discus data: There's a user.txt in the discus_admin directory that contains all the users, but I also need the exported data for the topics and the posts. I don't remember where discus stores them though, so I assume they should be exportable from the control panel. Let me know please :)
