The staff over at vBulletin are really flogging the whole "upgrade to vB5" thing now.
I'm still not sold on it though, and one of the reasons is the overall look of the system.
I know that you can download a test version of vB5, but I don't really want to play around with something that could turn out to be a waste of my time.

So I was wondering if anyone has come up with a skin to resemble vB5 and its templates?

Even post me a link of your own vB5 forums so that I can have a look at what you've managed to achieve on them, if you don't mind.

You mean if someone made a theme for vBulletin 4 that looks like vBulletin 5? I don't think I have seen such theme around. Given the differences between vBulletin 5 and 4, cloning most vBulletin 5 templates to vBulletin 4 is a significant amount of work.

Other way around. A theme for vBulletin 5 resembling vBulletin 4.

There's a premium "Metro" theme you can find on Themeforest which looks kind of the same on vBulletin 4 and 5 which you can give a shot.

If you want a true vBulletin 4 default theme for vBulletin 5 then I don't think such theme exists. If you want most of the templates to look nearly identical as the vBulletin 4 default theme then that's a lot of work with nearly no payoff.

That's what I was afraid of. =x
Well, thanks anyway. I don't really want to upgrade if I don't have to. vB5 just has too much of a social media feel to me. It's supposed to be a forum. =_=

I'll have to think about it more. I don't have much more incentive to upgrade right now other than "vB5 is more secure".
