My site has been seeing a drop in traffic for a while now...and wasn't exactly sure why. Then was browsing thru some of my servers directories and took a look in the sitemap storage directory...and noticed that the size of my sites sitemaps currently are much much smaller than they were in the past (see screenshot).
Can anyone suggest what vBulletin setting(s) might be set incorrectly to cause such a large size difference in the sitemaps?
Thanks

If guests can not see the forums, they will not show up in sitemap. Check if this is the case.

Hello scottkoz...thanks for your reply...apologies for the delay replying (I'm usually much faster).:)
Here are my XML sitemap settings:
* Enable Automatic Sitemap Generation = Yes
* Automatic Sitemap Generation Frequency (Days) = 2
* Default Sitemap Priority = 0.5
* Automatic Sitemap Search Engine Submission = all boxes checked
* Sitemap File Path = ./store_sitemap
* URLs Per Page = 30000
Thanks for the help.

Thanks Seven Skins...I know what setting you're referring to. I've made that mistake in the past...where most of the forum content is not visible to guests. Lol
But if you were thinking of something (a setting)...that I may not be thinking of...please mention what that setting is...I'll check on it...and reply here with what I have.:)
Thanks

No just make sure forums are visible to guests.
And Sitemap File Path = ./store_sitemap should be writable
And "URLs Per Page" try reducing the number of urls as server may be timing out.

Hello Seven Skins.
* Yes forum is visible to guests.
* When you say Sitemap File Path "should be writeable"...is this a setting? If it is...I'm not seeing it on the "XML Sitemap" options window.
* As far as "URL's Per Page"...you mentioned try reducing the number of URL's. Any suggestions?
Member scottkoz mentioned 10,000.
Thank you sir.:)

Thanks man...I appreciate the help.
My site has always had this setting at 30,000 (I know the vBulletin software says don't go above 50,000)...but definitely willing to try a reduced setting.
Thanks:)
