View Full Version : Extracting "most viewed/posted" data (possible mod?)

I run a large forum that has many millions of posts and over 100,000 topics.

One of the posters runs a regular topic, which details the most viewed and posted in topics of the last 7 days, quite popular with our user base.

At the moment, he manually extracts this date with a bit of copy/paste but it takes him a few hours, each week.

Is there an easy way of doing this? Or a mod that might be on the market that I've not seen? I've seen AJAX Advanced Forum Statistics but it's not quite what I was looking for.

In a nutshell, is there an easy way to extract the most viewed/posted in topics over the last X days?

Thanks in advance.

Are you wanting threads that have been created within the last x days, that have the most views, and also those with the most replies?

Something akin to that might work - might you know of a mod or something?

No, I'm just trying to clarify exactly what you're after. :)

Does anyone know if it’s possible to do this by extracting data directly from the database?

I fear it would be server intensive as I have around 120,000 topics on my site but thought I’d ask?
