[DOWNLOAD] Converter (from DBTech vBArcade to ibProArcade)

Anybody who has DBTech's vBArcade ("Lite" or "Pro") running on his site and wants to migrate to ibProArcade... Here is the solution :cool:


This will automatically convert your installed games and, if you want to, even all the scores from vBArcade to ibProArcade.
The converter is designed to be used on a fresh ibProArcade-installation as you will lose all installed games and scores in your ibProArcade.


The Converter is compatible to:

vBulletin 4.x.x
ibProArcade v2.7.5+ and later
vBArcade 2.0.x (for vBulletin 4.x)



Just follow those steps to migrate:

1) don't touch your vBArcade-installation yet, just close the arcade
2) download ibProArcade (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=101554) and install it
3) upload the attached converter to your forum's root-directory and run it

That's all, the converter is interactive and will tell you what to do ect.
It works in three steps:
1) database: convert all GAMES to ibProArcade
2) database: convert all SCORES to ibProArcade (can be skipped to start from scratch)
3) files: move files (games, images/icons) into ibProArcade [converter tries to do that automatically]

The converter will let you choose if you want to remove vBArcade after conversion or not.
If you want to, it guides you through this process.


Don't forget to remove the converter.php after everything is done !



After you successfully converted, feel free to click UNINSTALL (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/vborg_miscactions.php?do=uninstallhack&threadid=273181) for vBArcade and earn Karma-points ;)

Should try to covert dbtech arcade pro but ...never did somthing like that ..

I don't have the PRO of this, but I guess it won't have changes in the database-structure from "lite" to "pro".

Anybody would try this?
Could be a small parallel install of ibProArcade, try converter, test it and remove ibPro completely again, without touching the vBArcade PRO. I would assist on this... just to know and make sure this is working fine - although I am quite sure it will :)

I assume as it's not a listed feature that this converter doesn't migrate vbarcade's jackpots?

Is there any current implementation of jackpots with ibproarcade? The download page lists integration with vbbux/vbplaza for a raising jackpot system but afaik that's long dead.

I'm sure there was an addon to make vbcredits and ibproarcade work together back in the day, would that still work if it can be found?

ibProArcade is all the same code for 13 years, so if there is any jackpot-addon for it, it will still work :)

About vbbux/vbplaza you are right, maybe I should replace that integration with something else..... *justthinking*

I had [DBTech] vBCredits II Deluxe working with the arcade but havent used it in a while..
I`ll have to go back through the code to see if it still works and with php 7.
