How do I move these in Nav bar ?

I want to align the elements in my attachment. The thread count and page list need to move down so they fit within the border. The advance search title and icon need to move up.
These might be two different places but I can't find them to adjust. Is it padding ?
Can someone please help me find the style var that control these .

Using the information you gave us helped fix the page navigator, however the search button (the magnifying glass icon) is still out of place. The best information we can find about what dictates its position is a CSS class called .globalsearch .searchbutton, however we can't find that as any kind of style variable or in any CSS document we've dug through.
