I have put the color code on a new rank, the name of the people change to the color. but the actual rank name does not change to that color wy

what i am need to do. i use 4.2.5

AdminCP -> Maintenance -> General Update Tools

And run "Update User Titles and Ranks" at the top of the page. :)

As far as I can think ... "Text user rank" does not change color "usename html markup".

Yes, I gathered that was the issue from your initial post, but in order to help, I need to know exactly how you've defined the user rank. User ranks don't by default inherit the username markup. Also, please make sure you are talking about a rank and not a title.
