However, if you would like, you can change your cookie settings at any time.

I wanted to change the display to tell members HOW to change their cookie settings, or to add a link to a thread explaining how to do that.

However, this mod doesn't appear to be phrased.

Can you add an option to edit the displayed text?

correct me if I am wrong, but it should only work 1-time unless you clear out your cookies.

Good mod but when we are concern about SEO , and Cross Browsers support i would prefer Below Small mod. Works with almost any vBulletin Version.

Paste below code in Style Manager --> Edit Template --> headinclude
at end of template.

<script type="text/javascript">
window.cookieconsent_options = {"message":"Best Hosting Forums uses cookies to ensure you get the best experience on our website","dismiss":"Got it!","learnMore":"More info","link":"http://www.besthostingforums.com/privacy.php","theme":"light-bottom"};
</script>

<script type="text/javascript" src="https://cdnjs.cloudflare.com/ajax/libs/cookieconsent2/1.0.10/cookieconsent.min.js"></script>

Note: Don't forget to change your message, link and theme can be changed from "light" or "dark"

Demo:

Question: The standard text says, that the user can change the cookie settings at any point in time. I just want to confirm that you are talking about the general cookie settings in the web browser, right?

I mean...there's no way to opt-out of cookies and have VB run without any...?

thanks!

Well there is, I think. It would be like browsing the forum as a guest or bot, though.

Is anybody using this as a way to garner consent under the new EU GDPR instruction?

I am going to assume this will work if the cookie phrase is altered to refer to terms pertinent to the GDPR.

What happens if they don't reply 'acceptance'?

I've just installed this on a Forum, changed the phrase / message. Re-enabled the product but the pop up message is now no longer appearing. Any ideas anyone? Could message be too long for the pop up box?

EDIT: I've just tested with a short message and appeared fine. Anyone know where I can resize the box?

Looks like its not the box size of message length. If I add any hyper link the box don' show. For example:

<a href="https://www.xxxxx.com/Forum-privacy-policy/" target="_blank"><b>Privacy Policy</b></a>

Hmmm... that's a major drawback with the GDPR thing now active.

I want to do that too but haven't had time to try it yet. If you add links with BBCode instead of HTML does it make any difference?

...Is there a way to show the "cookie approve tab" in other position than bottom left?
