Hey guys,

I am looking for cheap space to back up my dedicated servers too. I need to be able to use sftp and I need probably around 500 gigs.

I tried a cheaper Godaddy server but it would not accept the remote connection from my server.

FYI - I want to automate my back ups to have the Plesk Back up system send them to an server. Right now I have a DropBox extension that send back ups to DropBox pro version but it is very slow and resource intensive and it is really hit or miss.

What do you guys use for offsite back ups?

Thanks,
Rich

If you go to mega.nz they offer 1tb of storage for 9.99 € a month. Ftp, I'm not sure about but for 29.99 € a month you can get 8tb of storage.

Looks like their megaclient should handle ftp for you.

Using megaclient
Similar to the UNIX ftp command, megaclient displays a prompt and accepts commands to log into a MEGA account or exported folder link, list folder contents, create folders, copy, move and delete files and folders, view inbound and outbound folder shares, establish, modify and delete outbound folder shares, upload and download files, export links to folders and files, import file links, view the account's status and change its password.

Second option would be going with flipperhost & choosing one of their dedicated servers or requesting a custom one.

Thanks, I will check out Mega... I am looking for an inexpensive option so flipper is out. Paying for another dedicated server to back up the two I already have would really kill my budget.. lol

Ask your host to stick another HD in your existing server.
