forum to link

i had it once on vbulletin 3.8 made a forum be a link to a live chat tech support application i had it set up on the same server on a sub domain ie livesupport.mysite.com it was working once before but now that i loaded vbulletin 4.2 and re started the main domain works (where the site VB) is loaded but again i made the same sub domain as above and i cannot get it to work properly it keeps loading the link with my main address how do i get this to wrk ??
