View Full Version : Domain name switch

Hello everyone,

Recently we switched our domain name that was linked up to our cpanel that hosted our VB. When I visited the site under it's new domain name all the image paths and that needed to be switched over so they were connected to the new domain. So I went into the image path area in the styles part of the admin CP. All the images came back online and the site now looks exactly how it did before. All the content, user info etc is all still there.

The problem we're running into now is that when users are attempting to log in it is not recognizing their password. I have to manually go in and change their password to 123456 or whatever and then they're able to log in.

Along with that all of the buttons you see when posting a new thread or reply such as the font, bold, size options, the link button, picture button etc are all missing. It's just blank up there above the text box.

And then lastly if you visit a users profile that is visiting the site if you look under their "current activity" it shows

/forum.php/clientscript/vbulletin_facebook.js?v=423

And says location unknown. I'm not sure how to fix any of this stuff or what could be causing this problem. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks Justin.

He has had someone work on his site that renamed the index.php to forum.php and had an index.html as their homepage which caused all his issues. They have since changed their homepage to a wordpress site but still had no index.php.
So, I simply changed the name of the forum.php to index.php.
Made appropriate navigation edits to reflect the change, all issues resolved.
