Hi all,
I have only had my forum running for 4 weeks but looking for some feedback in terms of layout and design.
Obviously my opinion is biased as it's my project and would like to think it looks reasonably good but I am aware there can always be improvements.
Any suggestions appreciated.

First of all - default style with changed logo and colours doesn't look appealing at all, but if this a 4 weeks old forum I can forgive that.
What are your plans? You looking to create a bigger community?
Kind Regards

Hi,
Yes, ideally would love to create a growing community of Forex traders.
Haha, see I like the default style with changed logo...can i ask what you don't like and why?
I'm not a big fan of the blue text, but can't decide what would look better.

Decided to try a nice theme by Thelastsuperman. Quite like it....thoughts appreciated.

Honestly, this stands no chance of gaining any traction looking like a site built in 1999. Nobody will look at this community and initially think "forex trading"

Thanks for the feedback.
Do you have any suggestions rather than being blunt?
If you like the default style then you can give this theme I made a shot: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=321753
It's based on the default style but a bit more modern.

Yes, get a custom vBulletin design for your site and focus on experience + branding. Separate yourself from the thousands of other dead forums using a default vB setup.

Well, the forum turned 1 yesterday. Extremely pleased with it but also equally aware at how hard it is to grow a community from nothing. Tempted to try Adwords but not sure what impact, if any, they'll have.
Started to rank for a few keywords on UK google (my main demographic it seems) but it gets quite depressing sometimes seeing zero activity.

I've been doing this forum thing for 18 years now and developing websites in their various forms since 1991. I have yet to see any concrete evidence of advertising working unless a site is so niche specific that it has no established competition.

Thanks for the insight.
Any pointers to establish a more fluid, growing community?

Site looks good and clean. I like the color you used for your forum.
Just a thing needs to improve on your forum is, you need to have more members join and posting on it. That's will help it to look better.

Well that therein lies the problem. How to generate extra registrations and have them post?
