I am looking to hire someone to help me work on my vb5 site.
My question is what does he/she need to work on the website? What info should I give them ? ,, what info should I NOT ever give them?
I meant to ask in the paid request forum but I don't think that this goes there..
I don't want to give someone info that will compromise my vb website, trust and verify..
Thanks!
What are some rules of thumb?

To allow someone to do work on your site, you will at the very least need to allow them access to your AdminCP, and you may need to give them FTP access as well.
Before doing any of that, read the sticky threads and announcements here:
Requests for Paid Services (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/forumdisplay.php?f=30)
Those threads contain good advice about what to consider before hiring anyone. ;)
It depends on what kind of work has to be done on the site.
- FTP access may be required if files have to be uploaded/modified/deleted on the site.
- SSH access may be required when you do a server migration. For example it's very useful to have SSH access to export/import databases and to extract zip files.
- Access to an administrator account on the forum may be required when plugins/hooks have to be altered or other settings on the forum have to be changed.

Is it fair to ask the person working on the project for a list of what he did in case I need to change it in the future?
Also can I create accounts in vb5 to allow another admins, but me being the super admin?
Thanks!
