How to temporarily disable posting?

Is it possible to disable posting/thread creation as opposed to turning off the vB?

One way would be to do that via the Usergroup Manager by editing the "Post / Thread Permissions" for each group you want to disable posting. :)

Or Forum Manager, set "Forum is Open?" to no
