Hi all,
I would really appreciate some help with this, the problem I am having with usergroups is massive and getting bigger by the day.
Background
I host forums for clans and projects in our community, as you may know. Each clan has its own usergroup which the members are in, and also public a private forums.
The Problem
If a new clan comes along and asks for a forum to be hosted, they require amungst other things to have their own usergroup. When I add a new usergroup, its default permission on all private forums is DEFAULT - i.e. read/post reply/new thread etc. This means for each new usergroup I add, I have to set their permissions for every single private forum to "no access". Very time consuming. If I skip this stage people in the new usergroup can read the private forums :(
Help!
Could someone help me with this? Even if I have to run the query manually I would apprecaite it. At the moment it takes me around 2 hours to add a new forum - which is crazy!
I know other people in that run vBulletin must be in a similar situation, how have you tackled this problem? Or do you just live with it.
Thanks for anyone help, and if someone could recommened a way to make new usergroups I add to have no permissions on private forums I would love them forever!
Thanks again. :)
