Overview:

Recently, the senior moderator at Christianity Haven (http://www.christianityhaven.com/forum.php) requested the ability to be able to see more reputation ratings and this product is in response to his request.

This product allows you to select usergroups that will see a greater number of reputation comments in their UserCP and for those with permission, on userprofiles as well. In the setting "Active Usergroups" you select the usergroups that will have access to the features of this product. In the setting "Maximum Ratings Displayed" you enter the maximum number of reputation ratings that will be displayed, both on user profiles and in a user's UserCP. The setting "Default Ratings Displayed" controls how many ratings are initially visible in the received/given blocks in the UserCP. If there are more ratings available, the blocks are scrollable and resizable. The setting "Default Height On Profiles" controls the initial height of the ratings block on user profiles, and this too is scrollable and resizable.

Compatibility:

Tested and working on VB 4.2.x and may work on all 4.x versions of vBulletin.

Backup/Warning:

This product does not alter your database, however it is always good practice to make regular backups and you should make a backup before installing ANY new mod.

To Install:


Download and extract the attached .zip file.
Follow AdminCP -> Plugins & Products -> Manage Products -> Add/Import Product.
Click on "Choose File" and browse to the product .xml file that was packaged in the .zip file.
Click "Import."
You MUST enable the product in the settings before it will function.
Configure the remaining settings to your liking. Each setting has a detailed explanation of its use.

Nice little mod here. But maybe a better alternative would be dedicating an entire page to reputation in the usercp.php section? :)

How would that be better?

Would reduce load times when users go to the main profile page. When you have rep set to 50 or more, you can observe a noticable slowdown in load times. Higher the number, you can really see the slowdown happening, especially at 50 or 100. As you're effectively doubling that number on usercp.php, 50 becomes 100 items and 100 becomes 200 (rep given and rep received).

I haven't noticed any appreciable lag on the two sites I help with where I have lots of ratings to load. On one site I have 179 rating received and 244 given, and my settings page still loads very promptly. To me, it would take far more effort than it's worth to move the reps to another page.
