Depends on the addon, I use many 3.6 addons, some with a bit of editing, on 3.8.8

It does work. I found this updated version https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showpost.php?p=2159200&postcount=54. I am not going to run it since i don't have a vb 3.8 site. I was just wondering.
