you can add a custom profile field and have it show up under the avatar by adding in $post[fieldx] where x is the # for the custom field you created. *should be 5 or highter*

Thats the simple way, but you wanted something a little fancier it seems.

well, i had basically give up on the mood hack, because most people never gave any feedback what so ever to it, but surely downloaded the hell out of it.

The last few upgrades that have been done, but not released may spark your interest.

1) no smilieys are used from your smiliey data base, or smiliey used in your posting or threads area, which means the need to use VB code no longer exists, which also means the smilieys are loaded into a seperate folder, and you can name them as you wish, and upload as many as you wish, without having to see your smiliey pop up section contain 300 smilieys.

2) snyx created a beautiful pop up and style sheet that allowed the mood hack to be a simple pop up, rather than a direct off site link. By off site, i mean being directed into a seperate area of your forums, such as the usercp area like it was origionally.

3) for those who wanted the mood hack to show in thier post bit area, but did not want it to show if a user had not entered anything, a new change had been made to accomodate the request. Also, snyx created mood buttons that we used in several areas of the forums for cosmetic, and testing purposes, which removed the ugly java button, and reduced "stretched" tables in the thread output, or new post areas.

4) I have already included the mood hack in several areas of my forums as well for testing purposes, which also means it is up to the user on where, or what information they would like to have displayed.

5) If there is any interest in these modifications, I will release them here, otherwise please do not release anything resembling a mood hack here out of respect to me for the time and effort it took to create that hack in the first place.

Thank you.

Tora, I'd definitely be interested. Also, an option for people to choose not to see anyone's mood (much like people can choose not to see avatars and signatures, for example) would be useful :)

Hope to see it released when you have time! :)
