Hiya guys
i'm having trouble adding this as a header background. As you'll see, i've actually put it as the logo, but i want it to be the background, then I can use my logo to go on top

Hmm been a few months since I messed with the Metro theme, I remember that top div area uses some custom css if I'm not mistaken. Someone just needs to have a quick look aside from using firebug and it should be easily sorted. Alternatively you could wrap the div in another div and simply use a transparent larger rectangle but overlay the logo onto the new div's background (the larger rectangular image) that would also work.

can you share a screenshot where you want to put image as background? so it will be easier to find which div needs to be used for background.
Edit body_background Stylevar
AdminCP->Styles & Templates->Style Manager then choose Style Variable Editor from the drop-down menu and click go
Search Stylevar : body_background edit it and click save
