I have an admin user that does not have permission to see posts or threads or forums. However, I am able to successfully login to the admin control panel. When I try to view a thread or post while logged into the user, I get this message:

Username you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

How do I resolve this issue? The user appears to have full admin access in the control panel.

This only seems to be affecting this one user. Other admin users are able to see the forums just fine.

Thanks.

Check the forum permissions for the administrator usergroup and any other group the administrative account is in.

Is he having problems seeing things in the admincp or on the site itself? Is he in the same usergroup that you are in yet you are able to see things? If it is the admincp he can't view, did you give him full administrator permissions in admincp > Usergroups > administrator permissions?

Right, I wasn't very clear was I! The admin user account with the issue (let's call it username "bob") has full access to the admincp, but cannot actually see any of the site. When I am logged as "bob" and go to my forum homepage, no forums appear. When I try to visit an actual post URL, I get the permissions message.

bob and I both have "administrators" as our primary user group, and no other additional user groups. We are also both superadministrators.

You are both a member of the same Administrators usergroup, and both of you are ONLY in that usergroup, and yet you can see the forums but he cannot? Are you using Access Masks at all?

Thank you! It was an access mask setting. Makes no sense to me why this user was denied access, but this fixed the problem.
