In vB4, users had a little optional checkbox that let them decide whether to include their signature or not in each post. I don't see a way to do that in vB5. Is there an option I'm missing, or else a plug-in?

It's an option located within the AdminCP under Browsing Options.
It's also under User Settings / Account in the UserCP.

There is no "Browsing Options" in the Settings of vb5.2.
I've also searched for signatures in both the Settings page and the User page, and there's no option that reactivates the vB4 functionality that allowed you to select whether to use your signature for any individual post; going back and adjusting your global signature setting in the main control panel every time is clearly an awful alternative.

Browsing Options is in the lower right hand corner of the User Manager for each individual user. The User settings option is located in the User Control Panel under User Settings. It is located in the Account tab. Here are a couple of images which may help you locate the settings.

When you post in vB4, there is a checkbox that says:
[ ] Show your signature
If enabled, your signature will be displayed below the message.
It lets a user decide whether to include his signature in the post he is currently make. On a per-post basis, the user can include a signature (or not).
It doesn't exist in vB5, and I'm asking whether anyone knows of flags I'm missing, plug-ins that duplicate the functionality, or anything else.
What you're pointing to are options that determine whether a user sees other peoples' signatures or not.

Oh, OK. I misunderstood what you were looking for.
To my knowledge that option doesn't exist in vB5 yet.
If it does I've never found it.
I'm also unaware of any add ons that perform that function.

Thanks. That's what it's looked like to me thus far, but it's a previously existing feature that our users are missing.
