I recently created a "Code of Conduct" for our members on HobbySquawk.com. It's located here:

http://www.hobbysquawk.com/forum/the-lounge/hobby-squawk-code-of-conduct/34300-the-official-hobby-squawk-code-of-conduct

What I would like to do is make this part of the registration process where the Code of Conduct copy is visible on a registration page with the "I accept the Hobby Squawk Code of Conduct" (or something similar) with a check box before they can complete the registration process.

The only way they can register is to check that box. I was wondering how to add this to the registration process? Much thanks for any help!

You will probably have to add a php hook in the core registration php file to interrupt the registration process. It could be done with some CSS and javascript by hiding the register button until the checkbox is clicked, but that would be easily circumvented using dev-tools.

So what you're saying is I should have gone to web dev school. :D

Why not just paste your rules into the fr_register_forum_rules template?

Why not just paste your rules into the fr_register_forum_rules template?

Where would this template be found? I don't have it on my system.

Search i_have_read_agree_terms

There I added:

I have read and agreed to the site's
<a href="https://www.christforums.org/articles/196-forum-terms-and-conditions" target="_blank">Forum Terms of Service</a>

A check mark after one reads the linked page is present. Sorry I can't be more help, I did this nearly a year ago. I actually searched for phrases Forum Terms of Services and found i_have_read_agree_terms

Shemei, that will work. You could actually paste the full html text there instead of just a link. That was a lot easier than my idea.
