Hi, vB v4.2.1 PL1

I get this error when writing messages:

Warning: preg_match() [function.preg-match]: Compilation failed: invalid range in character class at offset 23 in [path]/includes/class_wysiwygparser.php on line 481

The problem occurs only in the WYSIWYG editor.

While editing you can not see the text.
When I turn wysiwyg - text is visible
what to do?
Thanks

Sorry,
bad english

Line 481 in class_wysiwygparser.php takes care of the IMG bbcode.
Does this happen in all posts or just one specific post?

Are you able to upgrade to the latest version? vBulletin 4.2.3 Beta 4 should fix this problem according to this (http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/forum/vbulletin-announcements/vbulletin-announcements_aa/4085309-vbulletin-4-2-3-beta-4-is-available) post:

[VBIV-15951] - Warning: preg_match(): Compilation failed: invalid range in character class at offset 23 in ./includes/class_wysiwygparser.php on line 489

The problem occurs when uploading photos to a forum, blog and cms.
I put a lot of work in preparation for the style v 4.2.1
After you upgrade to a higher version of the style may not work.
I would like to stay with this version.
I wish I had not noticed before the problem.

You should upgrade anyways for php compatibility issues as well as security fixes and various other bug fixes. Since it's a minor version upgrade changes to templates should be minimal.

It sounds like a CSS issue...can you set up a test user account and give me a link to your site and I'll investigate. :)

Did you try using the standard Vbulletin theme to see if you still have the issue?
