You don't need the hack. It's built in to vB4.2.3 under AdminCP / Settings / Options / Thread Display Options / Show Similar Threads

This mod will dynamically show similar threads as you type the title of your thread using AJAX

No, it's completely different.

This mod dynamically shows similar threads as you are typing in a new thread name, just as the picture in the OP and explanation in the linked mod shows.

This is nothing like the similar threads that are shown at the bottom of showthread when enabled.

It does not matter when it shows its still default for 4.2.3 so no need for the plugin

Force, the purpose of the mod the op is talking about is so people will see similiar threads while posting the title of a new thread. This will hopefully show them if there is another thread similar to the one they are creating so they can post there instead of making a new topic.
